Lazy Day Simple Beans & Rice

Simple rice and beans

So I Love red beans and rice but sometimes the process takes so long. So this recipe allows me to get my fix and it takes less than 30 minutes to cook! consider it a win
Prep Time 1 hour 10 minutes
Cook Time 30 minutes

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound Italian ground turkey sausage Ground Italian Sausage can be used if you eat pork. taste better actually
  • 1 pound smoked turkey sausage sliced regular sausage links will work
  • 3 15 oz Ranch style beans original jalapeño kind works for a little spice
  • 1 onion diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic
  • salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 pound peeled shrimp this is optional I always add it last.

Instructions
 

  • add diced onion to skillet spray skillet with cooking spray and allow the onions to be translucent
  • add garlic to onions and let cook for 2 minutes
  • add your preferred ground meat to skillet cook until completely brown and no pink is shown
  • add your sliced turkey links or sausage links to skillet allow to cook
  • add your beans to skillet on medium low cover for about 10 minutes then serve over rice.

Notes

you can add shrimp to this dish to really add a little dazzle to it. you can also just eat this dish with cornbread no rice needed. But add and takeaway whatever you like. Make the dish your own!
