“FRIED TURKEY CUTLETS & GRAVY”

Fried Turkey “Chops” & Gravy

I love comfort Foods, During this time of year Something that makes your tummy feel warm inside❤️🍂 These Fried Turkey cutlets are so delicious! Instead of using pork (which I don’t eat) I decide to turn a classic dish into something I can enjoy.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Turkey Cutlets used honey suckle brand
  • 3 cups all put flour
  • 4 tbsp garlic powder
  • salt & pepper for taste
  • 4 Tbsp onion powder
  • 3 tbsp seasoning salt
  • 1 red onion diced
  • 1 red bell pepper diced
  • vegetable oil for frying
  • 3 1/2 cups Turkey broth or chicken
  • 2 Cubes chicken flavoring used knorr chicken bouillon

Instructions
 

  • pour enough vegetable oil in a large frying pan to coat the bottom about (4 cups) heat oil on medium low until about 350
  • Prepare flour to a dish or a ziplock bag for dredging add salt and pepper and 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
  • Season Turkey cutlets generously with seasonings listed above. Except the chicken flavoring this will be used for the gravy.
  • Add cutlets to flour shake make sure all turkey cutlets are covered shake off any excess flour. Add cutlets to hot oil, cook until golden brown. Set aside.
  • In another pan add about 1/4 cup of the hot oil You used for deep frying add in the chopped onion and bell pepper cook until fragrant.
  • use about 3tbsp of the flour used to dredge the cutlets add to pan with flour and whisk together.( The flour and oil mixture should be thick like ranch)
  • Add in the turkey broth slowly constantly whisking and the chicken flavoring. Reduce heat to low and add in salt & pepper to taste. Sauce will thicken add in your cutlets back into gravy!
  • Server over rice or mashed potatoes and enjoy!

Notes

You can use this recipe and substitute the turkey cutlets with regular pork chops 🧿
You can use whatever seasoning you would like if you don’t have turkey broth, chicken broth works fine. 
remember to season add you go. Add or take away seasoning you do   It like and enjoy.
