🫘🧀✨Fancy Mom Smoky Cheesy Pinto Bean Dip 🫘🧀✨

Ingredients
  

  • 16oz pinto beans, undrained
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1/2 cup diced onion
  • 2 garlic cloves minced
  • 1 tsp black pepper to taste
  • 2 tsp garlic powder optional, for extra flavor
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups cooked ground beef seasoned with taco seasoning
  • 1/2- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Toppings

  • Sour cream
  • Fresh jalapeños sliced
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven:375°F
    In a pot over medium heat, add oil to coat the bottom of the pan.
    Add diced onion and garlic. Sauté until soft and fragrant.
  • Add both cans of pinto beans to the pot Season with black pepper, smoked paprika, and garlic powder. Stir and let simmer for about 5-10 minutes.
  • Use a potato masher to mash the beans until they reach a refried-bean texture.Transfer the mashed beans into an oven-safe serving dish
  • top evenly with about 2 cups of seasoned ground beef, Sprinkle mozzarella cheese generously over the top.Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.Remove from oven and finish with sour cream, fresh jalapeños, diced tomatoes, and chopped cilantro.

✨Season your ground beef well: Cook the ground beef separately with taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and a pinch of smoked paprika for extra flavor before adding it to the dip.

✨Make it creamier: Add a spoon of sour cream while mashing the beans for a smoother refried bean texture
