This super simple recipe only calls for one Pan which makes it easy to cleanup.

Philly chicken cheesesteak

So, I used to love a Good Philly cheese steak but since I broke up with red meat, I had to find a nice alternative. Even though it's not as good as the real thing it's still pretty delicious and super easy to make.

Cook Time 20 hours

Ingredients
  

  • 1 pound  fresh chicken thighs thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 red onion sliced
  • 1 bell pepper red/yellow/orange
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp poultry seasoning
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 slices of pepper jack cheese
  • 3 slices of provolone cheese
  • 2-3 sub rolls
  • mayo

Instructions
 

  • Season chicken all seasonings Make sure all sides of the chicken pieces get seasoning on them.Be generous add more if you need it.
  • Heat oil in Pan add bell peppers and onion and begin to caramelized them once cooked and caramelized remove from pan
  • now cook the chicken for about 10 minutes on med-high heat until chicken is completely cooked
  • add bell peppers back to pan mix the bell peppers and meat together, add the paper jack cheese and provolone cheese on top of mixture turn stove down
  • heat buns in another skillet until browned
  • add mayo to buns and add the mixture to buns. and serve

Notes

You can top with banana bell peppers its so much better
if you like it less spicy omit the red pepper flakes
