Ingredients
- 3 1/2 cup ap flour
- 1/2 cup buttermilk room temp
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 large egg room temp
- 2 tbsp melted butter salted
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon
- canola oil
GLAZE✨💋
- 2 Cups powdered sugar
- 4 tbsp buttermilk
- 1.5 tsp vanilla
- 1 tbsp honey optional
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a large stand mixer Combine warm water and sugar Sprinkle yeast on top.Let sit 5–10 minutes until frothy
- Add buttermilk, egg, melted butter, flour and cinnamon
- With mixer on low, mix until it's completely incorporated.Switch to the dough hook once dough starts forming.Knead with dough hook for about 6 minutes until dough is soft and slightly tacky
- take dough out grease bowl place dough back in bowl Cover and let rise 1–2 hours until doubled
- Punch down the dough and transfer to a floured surface. Roll to 1/4 inch thickness and cut using a pizza cutter.Cut into squares.
- Heat oil to 350°F Fry 3–4 at a time for about 1 minute per side until golden brown.and fluffy Remove and drain on wire rack.
- in a bowl Whisk powdered sugar, milk, vanilla, honey and salt until smooth and pourable but thick. While beignets are still warm, dip in Glaze
- place on wire rack

Fancy Mom Glaze Tips💋
- If they’re too hot, the glaze melts and disappears.
Let them cool 3–5 minutes first. - Too thick glaze? Add ½ tsp buttermilk at a time.
Too thin? Add 1–2 tbsp powdered sugar -
Double Dip Dip once. Let set 2 minutes.
Dip again for thick, crackly glaze
