
🦐🧿🍯✨🌶️Hot Honey Shrimp🦐🧿🍯✨🌶️
Ingredients
- 1 lb Large Peeled deveined shrimp
- 2 tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 1/2 cup Ap flour all purpose
- 2 tbs cornstarch
- 2 tbsp Garlic Powder use 1tbsp for shrimp other for dry batter
- 1/2 tsp onion Powder
- 2 tbsp Slap ya mama 1tbsp for shrimp other for dry batter
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 cup buttermilk
- vegetable oil frying
WET BATTER
- 1 cup flour ap
- 2 cups water
- 2-3 tbsp Hot sauce adjust it to your heat level
Hot Honey sauce
- 1/2 cup Honey
- 2 tbsp Hot sauce
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Red pepper flakes
Instructions
- In a bowl combine your shrimp and garlic powder and slap ya mama seasonings and buttermilk marinate for 1 hour or overnight for best results
- In a bowl make the dry batter ,add in the Ap flour ,Cornstarch and the seasonings ( Slap ya mama/Paprika/onion powder/Cayenne pepper and whisk together set aside
- for the wet batter add all ingredients to a bowl and whisk really well making sure there are no lumps and set to the side.
Make the honey sauce
- in a sauce pot add in the butter and honey with hot sauce whisk until butter is melted add in the red pepper flakes let simmer for 4 min on low.
FRY SHRIMP
- Dip the marinated shrimp in the wet batter and and into the seasoned flour repeat the process until all of the shrimp is coated.
- Heat oil to 350F fry the shrimp in batches for about 1-2 minutes until golden brown, Drain excess oil wire rack.
- add the hot shrimp to the hot honey sauce coat the shrimp in batches you want to work quick so the shrimp does not get soggy!
- add to a plate and enjoy.

Notes
Helpful tip- You want the sauce to continue to stay hot. you do not want your sauce to be cold when coating your shrimp!!!
Also immediately after removing the shrimp from oil you want to coat in the sauce. this recipe requires you to make fast. you want to keep the shrimp crispy and the sauce hot! 🙂
