Heart Dog With Chilli
Heart Dogs
Cooking for picky eaters isn't easy and instead of boring hot dogs I wanted to add a little something special since its February and the month of love! So these heart dogs are super easy to make and can be used as an after school snack.
Equipment
- 1 heart pan.
Ingredients
- 1 box corn bread mix I use jiffy brand
- 1 package turkey dogs cut up you can use regular pork
- 1 can turkey chilli
- 1/2 cup shredded cheese for garnish.
Instructions
- preheat the oven to 350 degrees
- prepare the cornbread mixture per instructions on the package. I always add about 2 tablespoon's of sugar to the cornbread mixture to sweeten it a little.
- Pour the mixture into the heart pan make sure its evenly distributed
- add in diced hotdogs
- bake for about 10 minutes or until golden brown
- let cool for about 5 minutes and add chili to top and shredded cheese and enjoy.
Notes
You can add whatever toppings you would like. If you’re doing a “galantines lunch” I would say add onions/mayo/ radish these are great for finger foods and so delicious and easy.
